Ph Costanera Panama: A Scandinavian apartment in Latin America.
Located near Parque Urraca, our project at Ph Costanera Panama offers the perfect balance between urban living and natural serenity. This privileged location has impressive views of the ocean. It is kept away from the noise of Balboa Avenue, thanks to the green park and trees that effectively absorb traffic noise.
Why us?
We design a European style apartment with custom furniture. In 2005, as a student, I did an Erasmus exchange program in Denmark. The Scandinavian feel and inspiration is prominent throughout the space, creating a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. When designing it, I returned to the styles seen in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
In the living room, a warm color palette dominates, in white tones. Although the design is minimalist, the atmosphere is welcoming, just as the Danes do. They call it “Hygge.”
A striking dark blue archway next to the balcony adds a bold contrast, while the balcony itself features ceilings and walls painted in dark hues, creating a cozy outdoor retreat.
The arch is copied into the teenage boy’s room. There we used microcement on the walls to achieve a more masculine feel. Yellow and red accents inject energy into the space, making it a vibrant and inspiring environment. Exactly what the young resident needs.
In the master bedroom, we opted for a black headboard, which adds sophistication and depth to the room. Behind the bed, we designed a full wall of storage. This way we provide ample space for bedding, pillows and other items.
We intentionally choose dark colors for bedrooms as they promote better sleep.
Color selection at Ph Costanera Panama explores the psychology behind shades. Soft, calming tones in living areas invite relaxation, while vibrant colors stimulate energy and creativity.
Darker tones in bedrooms foster an atmosphere conducive to restful sleep. This carefully curated palette aligns with the emotions and lifestyle of the inhabitants, creating a harmonious living environment.
