Located in The Colonial, Santa Maria, this residence was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of Mid-Century Modern design, adapted to modern living and the tropical context of Panama.

Developed by PIEKNO Studio, the project draws inspiration from the defining principles of the movement: clean lines, balanced proportions, honest materials, and a strong relationship between beauty and functionality. Warm wood finishes, sculptural lighting, and carefully curated furnishings contribute to an interior rich in character and visual depth.

The layout emphasizes openness, natural light, and fluid connections between social spaces, allowing architecture and furniture to work together as a cohesive composition. Decorative elements were intentionally selected with restraint, creating an atmosphere that feels refined, comfortable, and timeless.

The result is a contemporary home where the legacy of Mid-Century Modern design is reinterpreted through a modern lens, creating spaces that prioritize comfort, functionality, and enduring value.
